  1. We all woke up 30 minutes earlier today, and were all out of the house ahead of time. Fog burned off quickly- I enjoyed the clear sunny view on my way to Woodland, and the sun on my back as I sat in the office prepping for work. The Sierras were finally in view- been waiting all winter for that!

Pics, writing, and the drive home. Stopped and said hello to an emu, found another produce stand, and snapped some pics of my splendiferous drive. Tried to make it to pick upi a tulip table and 6 chairs for $100, but got the call that someone else had collected it first :(

Tim & Linda stopped by when I arrived home and collected the yard furniture to take to San Diego. Made some lunch and settled down to write. Opened up the house- so warm today!

Picked up J from school on time. We cooked a pizza, walked the dog and headed to basketball. Jack was ridiculoulsy talkative today- he rattled on and on non stop every single moment we were together! My ears are so tired. He'll be tired tomorrow, too, as he was about an hour late for bed with all the talking!

  2. Woke up a bit too early so we could get 1 more load to the dump before we needed to return the truck. The dump trips have been a lot of work but it has been an adventure as well. The landfill here is so nice and interesting.

Got home and rested for a bit and then treated ourselves to lunch at the Barefoot Bar and Grill. It was pretty magical. The location on Vacation island overlooking Mission bay is breathtaking. We learned that the the pond we were sitting next to was actually a shark tank. We strolled and looked at sharks, rays and barracuda after a wonderful meal.

Mike and I did a big grocery shopping trip and headed home.

Made shepherds pie for dinner and brownie cookies for desert.

Ready for some well earned sleep.

  3. Regular morning routine became not so regular as Richard popped out of bed this morning and tried to let me sleep in and let me be as snappy and grumpy as I wanted because often I get that treatment - It is nice that he tries and has a sense of humor. I am also glad that I can talk to him about it because often I feel like giving up on mornings. Unfortunately things took a turn quickly as we got the older two off to school and were dropping Avalyn off at preschool when we found out that she couldn't attend that day. The district was only supposed to allow her to continue on a "seek work" schedule for 60 days and then re-evaluate, that was about 6 months prior. Since Richard still isn't working and not going to school they said she couldn't stay. This made things difficult as we have a plan to go sit in an office and wait in line for someone to help us and it is difficult with a lively 4 year old that thinks her dad is a play toy. This made Richard grumpy and snapped at me a few times, stress is not handled well especially when we are both feeling it and nobody can see the bright side.

Got an appointment for the next morning at 8 am at the place I don't want to spend more time in that I ever have to but am grateful for the help I will be receiving. We didn't have to pick Trenton up after school because he had a choir thing that took him to another school and they learned from different teachers, it sounded neat and he had a good time, the teacher lost his voice - his Music Man director was also out sick so he didn't even miss that practice because it was canceled, pneumonia. She will still be out on Wednesday so that practice canceled as well.

Regular counseling appointment went smooth, we were able to get in early so home early and could eat at a regular time.

Tomorrow is super busy - 8 am DHA, 2:30 Interview in Rancho and 7 pm Bunco. Girls mom said not to worry about picking up the kids so I could make it to my interview on time as they were going to overlap, I think we should have another plan in place as the follow through on that end is sporadic at best. I will hope for the best.
