Feb 1st 1910

3 eggs.

Clear, lovely. Brisk warm S. wind.

Took Julia to shcool.

Helped chore.

Hubby went up to Henry's then to town. Bot Kimble's 2 horses and 1 cow.

I washed.

George Rihfield borrowed pitchfork, Chas. Rosencutter brot it back.

Mr. Moffitt wants to husk corn with our teams.

All happened while Hubby was gone to town.

Went after Julia: school seems too hard for one so young, think we will keep her home tomorrow at least.

Chored.

  1. Spent the day at home. I decided to take the week and stay home. I hesitate to say I am taking the week off. I am working around the house and taking care of the necessary studio things that I can from home. I am so happy to be at home. I love love love working from home. I think this is something I will work toward in my near future.

Spent an hour or so cleaning up more leaves form the weekends yard work. The spent a wonderful hour or so in the rocking chair in the backyard. Just relaxing. Worked with a few commercial clients and then spent soem time browsing design blogs.

Got cleaned up and went to get a mani-pedi. The Vietnamese woman doing my pedicure began to hum the most beautiful Vietnamese sounding songs. It made me feel happy.

Made a simple chilly dog dinner and spent some really good time with Mike and Julia.

I spent the remainder of the night framing some of my Mom's design paintings for the living room. I am looking forward to having them hung up. I am not however looking forward to hanging them. That is an issue for tomorrow.

Ace sent a small video of the blizzard that is happening in Kansas today. School was canceled yesterday, today and presumably tomorrow. I spoke with my mother and she is fine. I hope she stays home and avoids driving in the snowy icy conditions.

I may undertake my office tomorrow. I think I weil stay in my jammies until at least 2.

  2. Went to sleep too late last night, and started out the day tired.

Tuesday is my busiest day- I plowed through until I had the brilliant idea of baking chocolate chip cookies right before Dana went to get Jack from school. Cookies broke up the day nicely, and were delicious to eat, of course.

Made ravioli for dinner and went back to work immediately after. The boys entertained themselves until Jack showered and climbed in bed. Got word from the realtor that we should have the keys to the house in a week. Time to get down to business.

  3. 8 am appointment made for a difficult start to the morning, I had to rush the older two to get them off to school and leave Richard and Avalyn behind so I could be on time for my appointment. It was best they stayed home as they couldn't come with me and it is no place to hang out :( When I was getting home around 11 am (yes the appointment took that long) Richard was getting a phone call saying that Lisa (girls mom) couldn't pick Rhiannon up - she was in the hospital. That is a long story that doesn't end well so I will leave it for now, I am supposed to be in Rancho at 2:30 for an interview so I get in the shower while Richard tries to figure out how he is going to retrieve Rhiannon from school. He is thinking of riding bikes with Avalyn but doesn't know how he will get Rhiannon's bike there so starts making phone calls to get a ride, we simply don't have enough gas money to have him drop me off, come get Rhiannon and come pick me up.
When I get out of the shower I have heard the new plan is to go pick up the girls grandma, take her to the hospital to pick up Lisa's car and then I go to interview and they pick up Rhiannon... we all have just enough time to spare to get to our perspective places.

Interview doesn't go well, I blow some questions, I know I need a job but this is a job I wouldn't do well at.

Get home and get dinner done in enough time to get to bunco, a friend picked me up. It was nice to ride with her as she is a great person and had some helpful things to say and is going to meet with me on Saturday. I am excited, it will be nice to get "away" from my regular routine of life and experience something different for a change, I think we all need that.

During bunco I found out that my poor boy got his heart broken again by the same girl - sadly she is unaware how badly he hurts and is just trying to be friendly I am sure but in the mean time Trenton is in pain. I try to cheer him up to no avail and so tell him it is ok to have hurt feelings and to just let it out. Hope things are better for him tomorrow.

I don't get the call for a second interview and am not at all surprised. I will keep searching, thank goodness it is tax season or else we would be in a much worse scenario.

Supposed to get on the homework but don't - attended a group chat where I probably have become the unofficial group leader because everybody else opts out and if I don't do it I fear nobody will and I don't want my grade to suffer for the lack of others.

Need sleep so to bed early this night, tomorrow is another day.
