January 27 1910

Clear warm wind west to south.

Took Julia to school. Amy Cole waved as I passed. Worked little in cellar. Hubby went to Henry M's after corn sheller, 2 hole gasoline stove and work bench which bot on the sale yesterday. Helped him get two shacks fodder from west field. Went after Julia. Talked long time at corner with Rufine and Clarence Coffee.

Beaut hooked Jersey down. Gus G. Preboth and Ruth Ester Williams Married last night at 8 O'Clock. He is 31 and she is 17. Cole's phoned to know when to Charivari them.

  1. So glad to see Charivari, with an explanatory link.
'Sharevari' is one of my all time favorite dance hits from Detroit in the late 70's/early 80's- but it's super rare and hard to find. Rough music, indeed! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OScrghVh15s

Anyhooooo... Same ol' weather. Back to yoga in the morning. Ahhhhhhh.
Edited pics all day. Meetings in the afternoon, and then Jack and I back to the dentist. A two hour time loss there.

Dropped J off at Grammy's in anticipation of Dana and I having a night out at the 2nd Annual Sac Electronic Music Festival. Dana played last year, but opted out this year due to the house timing. Got home and cooked dinner for the two of us, and had a good heart to heart over our meal.

Spruced up, headed out. A good turnout at the Fest. A few inspiring and danceable songs from the 'band' we saw, and then we decided to split. We had seen the next two bands frequently- love one, not the other. I had seen the headliner a few times, and Dana really wanted to, but we knew we wouldn't make it til his 1230 start time. We have three day passes, so we'll get to see plenty more over the course of the weekend.

  2. The boys had their performance at the spaghetti dinner fundraiser tonight...missed the cue and couldn't hear the music so got lost on the song and tried to recover but they sounded great what they did get out!

Girls were at their moms, Rhiannon sounded like she was doing better and Avalyn seemed to be getting further along with her cold. Trenton woke without a fever and went to school but felt like he was getting another before bed. Sent him to sleep with a couple Tylenol, hope it works because we found that he has play practice tomorrow morning from 8-12, and here we thought we were going to be able to sleep in. The kids have what is called a field study day, they do not go to school but instead have the option to job shadow, do community service or take a field trip - whatever it is, it has to be educational and last approximately 4 hours or so. We had tried to make a plan to do something like go to the bay area but it didn't pan out and we had already made a commitment to take Rhiannon with us to keep the problems of the work not getting done like the last two times she had gone. They are on Fridays and she is usually with her mom and so we don't have control of what is done or what gets turned in... or not in her case.

Trying to get everything together in my brain has been difficult lately, I am having trouble focusing and I need to get out of that - hopefully tomorrows fun will help.

  3. Another lovely Sunny day. I am trying to appreciate every one of them.

We had a lovely woman and her equally lovely Lab in this morning and it went very well.

Afternoon client had to reschedule which was fine with me. Ran a couple of errands and did some catching up on paperwork.

Came home to make dinner and helped Julia with designing buttons to raise money for her Thailand trip. It is coming up quick.
