Rainy, Wind south by west to north.
Awful slushy.
'Hubby' to Julia to school.
Mrs. Churchill visited till 11 o'clock
Phoned to Mrs. Daughters that they couldn't pay over $16.50 for hog.
Hubby got Jonh A. Salger catalog.
Bertha Hagenmaier failed to win any prize in Merchant & Publishers contest. Great dissatisfaction among contestants. Think there was partiality shown.
Helped outdoors, ditching surface water, thru a little manure out of stable, and held boards for north side of calfshed, -etc. Went after Julia. Gave Mrs. Churchill all the latin papers.
Julia's stomach ache seems gone.
Had a kind of rushed morning, gathering items for J's half-birthday circle today at school. We talked though the stories we would tell, and barely made it to school on time.
ReplyDeleteMade quick work of pics at the primary school today, and headed home to send out the elementary's bulletins before an afternoon meeting, birthday circle, and a dental appt. At the circle, we talked about our tractor racing adventures in Wisconsin, Dana & Jack's flight school this summer, and J showed off all the intricate models Dana brought him back from Japan. At age 12, I feel like we told all the cute kid stories at the previous 6 circles, so we may be permanently moving into the territory of current adventures.
A few cavities at the dentist- which is rare for me, and even my dentist was surprised. Can cavities be caused by stress, like all the other health issues I was having?
Hmmm...
Stuffed pork chops with applesauce and cranberry pear green salad for din- used G'ma Gum's simple olive oil and (meyer) lemon dressing recipe. The meyer lemons were swiped from our (hopefully) new home on inspection day! Oh, and the papers came through on the house. Spent the evening reading through them, filing, and finishing up the spending reports for 2010 taxes. Still in get-it-done mode. Need to direct this energy into purging and packing!
I was up with the sun again this morning.
ReplyDeleteCooper was up before me.
I'm struggling with being a good mom, wife, daughter, friend...not to mention housekeeper. It seems when I'm good at two, the others suffer.
I called my dad this morning.
I woke him up.
He gave me an earful about how he never sees me, that he doesn't feel like someone special in my life, that he may go adopt another family.
I cried.
I wonder if this is the journal for things more personal than the weather and the chores.
I may need to reel it in.
Walked to the East Sac Taqueria with the fam.
I went to movie night at Chris's house. His usual fare, delicious cocktails and sweet hospitality.
In bed a little late.
Had to work at a temporary assignment, fill in for a single day at the McClellan corporate office again. Last time I was there I saw my most recent former boss and talked with someone about another - small world. Nothing too exciting happened except for the one man that called to yell at someone and the people he wanted weren't available so it became me. The project manager said she was really sorry but I told her I would survive and moved on with my day. Some hours went by faster than others. Trenton rode his bike so only Richard and the girls came to pick me up. He mentioned that he didn't do much of the things he planned (including taking something out for dinner) so I had to improvise some. I ended up making fried rice from a box that someone had given me...I had to add rice and sauce and egg but it wasn't bad. Didn't have a fight at dinner like we usually do - it was nice. Fairly uneventful evening - hope I can get some good sleep soon
ReplyDeleteMathew's parents are in town. Went to a late dinner at City Deli with them when they got in.
ReplyDeleteFound out that eating late at night makes the baby restless and me unable to sleep. I suppose it only gets worse once they are born so I need to quit my bitchin'
