January 4 1910

Snowing hard all day.

Hubby did all of the outside work.

Gus Preboth came and brot a petition for a new road thru Morris's, Carlson's and several other places to town. A shortcut from Ashland thru Hunter's Island to town. Hubby signed.

Gus bot an old buggy pole for 50 cents. Made a light calico apron for Julia. Tried to bake but had to let loaves in pans till morning.

  1. Was worried this morning about how the day was going to go. Rhiannon woke up ready to go - we don't know what she had, no fever but we were glad to see she was ok this morning.

Kids all got up well this morning ready and willing to go back to school. Richard and I got back from dropping them off and promptly took a nap! We can't stay up all night anymore.

I didn't get much more done on the homework and got the house prepared for bunco night. Realized that I have to work tomorrow and get rent paid and about a billion other things... life never stops for parents - glad I got a nap!!

Otherwise today was a fairly uneventful day - tomorrow will be another story.

  2. Beautiful day. Clear and cool. Julia went back to school and crew today. Tried to get back into the groove of work, slow start through. Met with the ladies from Fido and Co. to discuss some co-marketing plans. Ace came with us to the paper/ink supplier and we got a great lesson on printing from the owner. I feel like I need a week of to get caught up with life and another week to enjoy it.

However, tomorrow we have an intern coming in and a shoot at 10. Then we will be working on the space at Leaping Lotus. Then to work on Bernie and Pearl. Lots to do, lots to do.

  3. I went back to work today after a three-day weekend. I am thankful that I have a job, but wish it were more creative.

    My mom flies out tomorrow.

We shopped for taco fixin's at Mercado Loco. She bought me a hydrangea with a raspberry-colored flower. I will plant it in the back yard as soon as the weather gets warmer. For now, I'll keep it in the kitchen window and let it remind me of her visit.

    The tacos were delicious.

I enrolled in the running class. We'll meet at William Land Park twice a week and the rest is up to me. I'm excited. I enrolled in a similar class over the summer and loved it.

  4. A positive day- our offer on a house we love was accepted.
I spent a long lunch moving money around and setting up house and pest inspections for Friday. And the evening after dinner initialing and signing the many-paged offer paperwork. Exciting! It really was a thrill to visit the home's realty webpage and see a little heart with 'sale pending' beaming out at me.

Tuesday is always my busiest work day, as I am at the largest of our campuses on this day, and today was no exception. Lots of photos and news to catch up on, edit and write about. The house arrangements set me back a bit, so worked into the evening. We all took the dog out for a brisk walk after dinner- walked by our hopefully new house, and then spent the rest of the evening looking at pics, imagining furniture placement and most efficient arrangement of storage in the giant garage. Of course, that led me to dreamy design sites for ideas, and so on until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer....
