Clear brisk sharp west wind.
Topsy found a fine steer calf last night.
Hubby took Julia to school. Man came this morning to sell a horse. Worked in cellar, mixed ground feed.
Mrs. Miller sent two skirts, 3 pr. trousers, 2 jackets, 1 vest and 1 coat.
Mrs. Flora Churchill came at 1 o'clock and staid till after 4. Returned meat chopped and got yeast cakes. Hubby went to C. W. Carlson's sale.
Fog is really hanging on these days- til after lunch today. I honestly don't care either way, sunny or foggy, I'm content in both in winter.
ReplyDeleteHad a nice visit with Sylvia at the Primary school today. Came home midday and made much for hubs and myself. Read for a bit and got back to work. Went grocery shopping late afternoon and then was supposed to have a meeting, but it was cancelled- so I sat in on Jack's drum lesson. First time I saw a beat that tripped him up, so he'll need to practice it all week.
Pizza dinner since we were home late- the Newmans' Own versions are pretty tasty! The boys are taking their showers now, and we're headed out for an evening walk in just a bit. I really wanted to get back to yoga this day, but I'm coughing too much tonight. Will try for tomorrow morn's class and will be back to twice a week soon, I hope!
Chilly this morning -
ReplyDeleteSurvived our first night of the 6 year old being "grounded". She has been doing poorly at school, disrupting the class, not doing her class work, not turning in her homework...not very good behavior when we know she can do better because she has shown us better behavior before.
Both girls woke up with a cough - they seemed to be having a competition this morning on who was worse - and Trenton woke up with a fever and asked to stay home from school. He is not one to stay home especially since he had a surprise for us today in choir and he wanted to have perfect attendance for the year. He also does not get fevers usually so I was especially concerned. It didn't get worse during the day and went away with Tylenol quickly but still came back. Hope he is feeling better in the morning as he has a performance tomorrow night for a fundraiser.
Rhiannon had a dentist appointment with a specialist today...she will not sit still so we had to take her to a specialist and still needed to be held down after taking laughing gas. I was trying to be strong but I have my own demons that haunt me from a bad experience nearly 30 years ago and almost passed out when I was in the room when she was twisting and screaming. She needed an extraction (tooth pulled) and a crown (cap) on another tooth. She has more work that they needed to do at another time and I fear it will be more of the same.
Tomorrow is the spaghetti talent show dinner and friday night we are celebrating Richard and his 3rd year of sobriety with some close friends. Need to get the homework done as my teacher gave me the wonderful compliment and I don't want to disappoint him, nor myself.
Off to bed, went early last night (as I fell asleep on the couch) and hope to get another good sleep tonight, though I am not off as early as I would like.
Crossing my fingers that everyone is feeling better tomorrow - including you Ski :)
Three french bulldogs today. Golly they are stubborn. Hard to imagine I wanted one instead of a Boston terrier.
ReplyDeleteTried to be productive at the studio but fell short again. This is becoming a pattern. Quiet night.
