Day was fairly warm and not super productive but that was ok... Took the car in to get the camshaft position sensor replaced, as 3 months ago we had the wiring for the same part fixed. Cost the same the second time - crazy how they can charge so much for teeny tiny parts, oh well, Stella is runnin like a champ now (yes, I named my car Stella - as in The Godfather - we had a bendable Gumby in the window and he was on his knees crying out to STELLLLLAAAAAA, it fit). Anyway, after we got home Richard was off to run lights for a friends small production, a series of short monologues, he came home briefly to pick up a few items to run out the door again to his weekly AA meeting, I was SUPPOSED to be getting my homework done, instead I was catching up on some much needed sleep. To bed at 7:30 PM and woke up briefly when he got in and talked for approx an hour around 1:30 AM and then back to sleep til 8:30 AM. Not super productive but a good day all in all.
Another beautiful day. I am remembering not to take them for granted.
Worked all day. A reasonably good one. Fairly profitable with very lovely clientele. We had an extra long time for lunch [rare on a Saturday] so we went to the beach and ate. it was stunningly beautiful. I laid in the warm sand and listened to the waves and happy people. It was more restful than a good nights sleep.
Julia was staying at Ryliegh Wrights house so mike and I had the evening to ourselves. We invited some friends over last minute but we just couldn't quite coordinate it. In the end it was best because we were more tired form our day than we thought.
we made a nice dinner and Mike made me my first ever rusty nail, which are delicious and kind of strong.
We played Bananagram I won [twice]. Then we watched a little documentary called The Parking Lot Movie. Good stuff. We stayed up until 1:30 and finally hauled ourselves to bed. It was a good stay at home night.
I awoke (late) to the scent of aebelskivers. The first wonderful thing about this is that I could smell, the second is that it meant my boys were making me brekkie. First good, solid night sleep all week. Still weak, I puttered into the kitchen and helped set the table. Turns out, my mom was on her way over with another load of boxes, and she joined us for brunch. Then she and Jack picked me some oranges from our tree. Mmmmmm...
The boys worked outside all day cleaning up the yard, while I entered everything I knew about my family and Dana's family into Ancestry.com- thanks to my mom leaving me with the family calendar.
We had leftovers for dinner, and all got ready to go out to Luna's to see Cooper make his stage debut on bass with Richie Lawrence. I packed plenty of cough drops and tissue, and hoped for the best. Saw lots of lovely friends there, many of whom were not afraid to hug and kiss me. Had some great chats that made me cough a lot, but were so worth it. Jack sat with Joy and Cooper and Sadie, etc, which hopefully kept him happy, as he is not the most patient with going to shows anymore. Cooper did very well, and everyone was proud. We pooped out early and headed home to bed.
I suck at blogging Jan 22, 2011 So I have come to the conclusion that I totally suck at blogging.
Today we drove up to Vista to look at an apartment closer to my office. We need to move so that when I go back to work after the baby is born I am not commuting 2 hours out of my day. I don't mind commuting but when I think about having a baby, spending 2 hours away from her just sitting in a car every day just seems like a waste.
Our place in Hillcrest is great. I hate to leave but it isn't big enough to have more than one person over at a time and it seems our group of friends has migrated from going out to meet up to staying in and meeting up. Not surprising, but way less convenient. We have to wait until there is an invite since we can't really have anyone over at our place.
So onward to living far away again. I am not too worried that we will see people any less, in fact we may end up seeing people more this way.
Well the apartment is exactly what we want - and end unit with a private balcony, 15 min from work, with a washer/dryer. The catch, yes there is always a catch, it is available NOW, and we can't move until 2/15. They refuse to hold it that long. sigh... whatever will be, will be.
After the apartment we went to the lovely Stella's 2nd birthday. It sucks, because we really love seeing Stella and her parents but she is the same age as Ethan was when he passed away, so it is always emotionally draining for Mathew to see her. He slept for 3 hours when we got home tonight. I think it being a birthday party with several 2 year olds made it worse. Next time we'll try to hang out with just the 1 child around, it should be easier. It is pretty awesome for me to see her getting so big. heck I remember holding her at a tiny 5 weeks old. :)

Weather has been sunny, and should be all week.
